Nancy Eckert is the former Vice President of Career Management Consulting with Right Management in Charlotte, North Carolina. Following her move to Virginia, she has continued her work with Right both as a Leadership Development and Career Transition Consultant while earning her Master's Degree in Professional Counseling.
Nancy specializes in the areas of career management, career change and coaching for higher performance. She supports individuals in identifying their strengths and values to effectively maximize personal performance.
Much of Nancy's career has been in environments experiencing major change initiatives. Both professionally and personally Nancy has a wealth of life experiences that enhance her ability to relate well with people leading and managing change. She develops rapport and engages clients quickly with her sense of humor, expansive background and high energy, action oriented approach. She has earned an excellent reputation with corporate leaders by bringing new insights to common topics and problems.
As a seasoned professional in both Human Resources and Career Management in various organizations, Nancy has partnered with key executives, guided managers and coached employees to develop the best solutions for them individually and the organization.
Her practical, yet sensitive approach creates an environment of trust and success in the people she supports in her role as coach.
Nancy completed her Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Argosy University, Washington, D.C. in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Central College in Iowa.
The Human Resources Certification Institute has certified Nancy as a Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) since 1997.
Nancy is a Certified Executive Coach. She is certified to administer and interpret the full Birkman Method Report and the Birkman First Look report (two motivational assessment tools), the Hogan Development Survey, FIRO-B and is qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
Nancy presents a variety of workshops and seminars on Self-Awareness in Leadership, Understanding Generations at Work, Career Assessment, Leading and Managing Change, and Career Transition.
She currently teaches career courses to graduate students at Georgetown University and has also served as a visiting faculty member for the Career Coaching Session to students seeking Business Coaching Certification through North Carolina State and Duke Universities.
Nancy provides pro bono personal therapy to individuals and career consulting to therapists at The Women's Center in Vienna, VA.
