Careers In Nonprofits is built on the idea that great people want to work with great causes. There are many talented candidates who have a passion for working with nonprofits but not many resources focused on nonprofit careers. We connect the best people with the best causes. Our team of nonprofit career professionals has years of experience matching candidates with nonprofit organizations. Serving Chicago, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C., we have extensive networks of connections and strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations.

40Plus is a non-profit, all volunteer organization offering a proven system of hands-on training, peer support, networking, volunteering, and talks by experts on topics of interest to professionals in career transition. 40Plus has helped more than 8,000 area professionals land rewarding jobs and new careers since its founding in 1953.

40Plus was founded during the Great Depression.  In 1939, Henry Simler, an executive with the Remington Rand company, created a “40 Plus Committee” at New York City’s Sales Executive Club to help over-40 executives who were having difficulty finding jobs.

Four American giants formed the New York organization’s first Advisory Board: Tom Watson, president and founder of IBM; James Cash Penney, founder of J.C. Penney & Co.; Arthur Godfrey, popular radio and TV personality; and Norman Vincent Peale, minister, inspirational speaker, and author of The Power of Positive Thinking. The concept spread to cities throughout the U.S.

They realized that a program combining training, motivation, and support, led by and for unemployed people, would work wonders.  That's still true today.

    CREATING Breakthrough results

    with
    vINAY kUMAR

A “breakthrough” is defined as an extraordinary result or outcome, something that we don’t know how to accomplish and are uncertain if it can be accomplished at all.  It’s something that seems so difficult to accomplish that we would be breaking through to new destinations when we actually do so.

If you want to achieve “breakthroughs”, in your work and personal life, this session is for you.  You will learn techniques that will enable you to produce breakthrough results and do so, on repeatable basis.

    Topics covered include:

    ·         Understand the reliable pathway for producing breakthroughs results

    ·         How to effectively leverage the power of differences

    ·         How to improve communications, collaboration and engagement

This highly interactive session contains large and small group activities, giving participants opportunities to also learn with, from, and through each other.
